Dear all,

I'm looking for some good Network Video Devices for the following section of eStream

/Admin/NetworkDevices.aspx

Does anyone have any or recommend some technology?

Regards

Andy

Hi Andy, The Network Devices page allows you to add a network IP camera which will then be available for all Encoder applications to use. The new Encoder application will be able to record from a wide variety of network sources, the rule of thumb that we usually suggest is that it can record anything which can be opened in the VLC network source. The only difficulty is that some manufacturers do tend to "hide" the streaming URL for a camera so you may need to search depending on the camera model. As such we support a large number of cameras, could I ask for what purpose you'd like the camera for? We do have a new Planet eCam IP camera which integrates nicely with the Encoder application including PTZ controls. Details can be found on our website: http://www.planetdv.net/...-PTZ-Camera-NPLAPTZ500N, but as I say it does depend on your requirements for a camera.
